Hi! I'm Patricia Martins, a UX and Product Designer based in Brazil. I've explored different career directions over the years, but design is where I truly found my calling. What keeps me motivated? My endless curiosity and love for learning new things – it's what energizes me both at work and beyond.
How I got started in design
My journey to UX and product design was anything but straightforward. I began by exploring my curiosity about the natural world, first studying veterinary medicine and later biology. While both fields fascinated me, I felt something was missing—a creative spark I hadn’t yet discovered.
That spark ignited when my sister, already thriving as a UX designer, introduced me to the world of design. Inspired by her passion and the impact of thoughtful user experiences, I decided to pivot my path. By chance, I found myself immersed in design challenges, learning to blend empathy, science, and creativity—skills I’d honed in my earlier studies—into crafting intuitive digital experiences.
Today, I’m grateful for the winding road that led me here, shaping me into a designer who values both analytical thinking and human-centered innovation.
What I've been working on
I'm based at a technology company that develops products across multiple sectors, including transportation, health management, and beauty solutions. This role has allowed me to work on the company's proprietary products while also extending design services to external clients, particularly in the real estate industry.
Currently, I am allocated through outsourcing to another technology and consulting firm. Here, I focus on the design and optimization of strategic business management SaaS platforms, as well as AI tools. My role involves collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that our solutions are not only functional and efficient, but also intuitive and user-centric, delivering real value to businesses and their users.
What I'm curious about
I’m driven by curiosity and a passion for learning. I love exploring history, art and nature — each inspires my creativity and helps me see the world from different perspectives. I’m always seeking new knowledge and skills to improve my work, whether that means studying design trends, user psychology, or simply observing the world around me. My diverse interests not only fuel my growth as a professional but also help me create more meaningful and intuitive user experiences.
